Neglected site for a while

I will update with my runs since the last post.  I did run 13.5 kms 3 days ago, an I started using Endomondo sports tracker because they have little contests for prizes, plus it seems more user friendly.  I am planning to go for a run shortly.

Here's a picture for ya.

4 km quick run Tuesday

I had work Tuesday night pair that with not being able to get home until 2 hours before work, and that doesn't leave much time to do a 10km run, at least not for me. so I decided on a 4km speed run, I was able to do one of the kms in 5:23, which was super good for me, I never thought I'd be able to run that fast.

here's the neat part

I'm back to 10km runs, hooray.

Yes, I did get back to 10km runs, as of tonight, took 5 good warm up runs, which sucked. Also back to Sports-Tracker.com for my runs, Endomondo is very good, but I have to screw up 3 times in a row to accidentally stop my tracking with sports-tracker.com. so here's the neat little map.

6 km tonight

Yes, I was able to complete 6 km without stopping to walk. This is good news, as it was 3 weeks ago that I was running 10 km consistently before getting sick and then the weather here turned to rain for what seemed like the entire time. Either way, I am on my way back to breathing better and hopefully shedding a few unwanted pounds. I quit smoking about 3 months back, so it is very important to have something to look ahead to. I may start a tip jar on site to see if anyone would like to contribute a few dollars for the Polar Bluetooth heart-rate monitor that links up with the smart phone, or better yet a new pair of running shoes. I used Endomondo's tracking software this evening, and then i imported it over to Sports-Tracker.com as well. I still can't make up my mind on which to use.

Day 3 - Technically combined

So if you read my last post a few hours ago you know that I had some trouble with Enomondo's GPS tracking software for my run on the 25th. I did manage to export the 2 files to google earth, trace a new track over the 2 older ones and come up with exactly how far I traveled. Using the data I also had the start time of the first bit, the start time of the second bit and the duration of the second bit, doing a little bit of elementary math, came up with the 50 minute run/walk/hike. Bonus, Endomondo automatically calculates the kcals you burned based on the distance traveled.

So here is the newly created exported and revised run from Aug. 25th.
and again, any input to what you think looks better, Sports-Tracker or Endomondo would be appreciated. I already have an Idea of what I prefer, but outside input is definitely wanted.

Day 3, some technical difficulties

So I had some trouble with my third day of running, i tried out the Endomondo app, but i accidently hit the stop button, and thought I had hit start again, turns out I didn't so what I'll do is post the links after I imported them to Sports-Tracker, If anyone finds this I would love some input, what do you prefer, sports-tracker (lets you take photos and posts them where you were when you took them[I really do like that feature] and it seems harder to accidentally stop it) or Endomondo which keeps track of the music you were listening to while running and where you listened to what track. Lets take a look.

These Tracks Have Been Removed

Anyone wanting to check out my tracks over at Endomondo can click this link
Thanks for any input you provide, I was a few days late with this post and will be posting my run from tonight shortly,of which I used Endomondo to track.

All right, now I have finished connecting the so called dots of the 2 gps files, and created a new one with some magical conversion applications, was able to get a full track and i have imported to Sports-Tracker and Endomondo.
